Epilogue: More Discoveries

A few days later, Christina was working with Zordon at the command center. "Christina, we have worked on your control of your abilities for about a week now. You have sufficiently brought them to a control. Now, we must work on discovering the full range of your powers," Zordon said to her.
"I have more powers than what I already know about?"
"Perhaps so. I believe you may be able to project holographic images using your telepathic powers."
"Freaky. How do I test for it?"
"Concentrate on an empty spot, and attempt to visualize something there." She did so, and a hazy, flickering image of Billy appeared. She concentrated harder, and the image stabilized and grew clearer. Zordon smiled at her choice of subject.
"Very good," he congratulated her. "For the next power test, I will have to contact Jason and Tommy." He did so, and they agreed to come. They arrived, and Zordon explained, "I need your help in testing for one of Christina's powers. I believe that she may be able to call upon a Circle of Protection, protecting that person from outside harm. Tommy, will you agree to help?"
"What do I have to do?" he asked.
"Let Christina call a Circle of Protection on you."
"What do you need me for, Zordon?" Jason asked.
"I need you to be the outside harm. I know that if the circle is ineffective, you will not actually harm Tommy. Will you agree?"
    "We agree."
"Christina, call upon the Circle of Protection for the Green Ranger."
"Circle of Protection - Green!" she called. There was a slight electric crackle in the air.
"Jason, attack Tommy," Zordon instructed. The two slowly circled in the time-honored way of martial artists. Suddenly, Jason's arm shot out, and was deflected by an unseen force. Tommy had not moved. Jason tried again, and was again deflected.
"I think the Circle works," Jason volunteered.
"Yes, I believe it does. Christina, cancel the spell."
"Green Circle - Inert!" she called. Jason comradely hit Tommy's arm, and there was no interference.
"Christina, you are one powerful person. It's a good thing Lord Zedd can't take you over," Tommy told her, rubbing his arm.
"Zordon, do you need us anymore?" Jason asked.
"No, you and Tommy may go, and you may also, Christina." They transported out of the command center.

"Hey, guys, I'll catch you later.  My class starts in fifteen, and it's not good form for the instructor to be late." Jason grinned, thumping Tommy's arm.
"All right, man, we still on for that Mortal Kombat tourney tonight?" Tommy asked.
"You bet."  Jason raised his hand in a half-wave, then nodded to Christina.  "Be careful, Christina.  Maybe get Tommy to show you some basic fight moves.  Zedd's tricky; now that he knows magic won't work on you, he might resort to brute force."
She nodded in acknowledgement.  "You be careful, too, Jason."  She shielded her eyes with her hands, looking at the sky.  "I can't shake the feeling that something's about to happen."
